Christmas Reflections of Times Past – Saturday, October 8th!
Please join us for our next teatime where we will gather and reminisce of simpler times when Christmas was different from the commercialized way it is today. Tickets will go on sale around the middle of September: Ladies $7 and Girls $5 who are 12 and under.
We will have a very special guest, Lillian Black, who will share with us her Christmas memories growing up and while serving in WWII. We will also have our annual Mercantile Store where you can purchase cookies, fudge, inexpensive items for gifts for family, friends, co-workers and teachers. All proceeds will help benefit our church benevolence.
The menu will be Roast Beef with Radish Square, Ham Biscuit Bite, Fruit and Cheese, Red Velvet Mini Cake and Hearty Chestnut Tea. Don’t forget to bring your teacup and invite a friend.
We look forward to seeing you again!

About the Ministry:
Ministry committee includes: Chairperson; Patty Gibson, Deb Ayers, Patty Dogan, and Connie Pannell.
The ministry began its planning in 2006 after being inspired when a group of friends enjoyed the afternoon visiting a local tea shop. It was such an encouraging time together that the now formed committee felt lead to begin this ministry and offer it to the ladies in the church as well as friends and community. Our Tea Times are quarterly and on Saturday afternoons from 2-3:30 pm. The program includes a spiritual speaker, tea trivia, fellowship, food, and special music.
Over the last several years, we’ve had theme teas such as: “Southern Belle“, “Harvest Pumpkin & Spice“, “Love Thy Neighbor“, “Enchanted Garden“, “Grandma’s Heirloom”, “Winter Wonderland“, “Mother & Daughter Banquet“, ”Hawaiian Luau”, “Country Christmas”, “Purses, Polka-Dots, Ribbons & Bows”, “Breakfast at Tiffanys”, “Celtic”, “Books, Tea & Thee”, “Country Fair”, “Healthy Heart” , “Celebrating Life”, “Paris Tea”, “Lavender & Lace” & “Buttons, Baskets & Blessings”, “Precious Memories”, Mystery Tea” and “When Life Gives You Lemons”. Each of these teas were unique as their names; encouraging devotions, special & professional speakers, delicious food and warm conversations. Our desire is for every lady to leave feeling blessed by the message, encouraged and refreshed mentally and spiritually.
“Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.”
