Tea Time

It’s Time for Tea on May 2, 2015!

Remember the dear old song, “Precious memories, how they linger, how they ever touch my soul”?  This is the inspiration of our next teatime called Precious Memories on Saturday, May 2.  Invite a friend and join us as we fellowship, taste delicacies of the season, and hear testimonies of several tea sisters and their precious memories of their past.  Beth Dalton and her surprise quartet are planning to sing for us.  Ladies tickets are $7 & $5 for girls under 12.  Deadline to purchase a ticket is April 26th.  We will have a speaker from the Alzheimer’s Foundation to share with us.  Our menu will be Ham Tea Biscuits, Italian Mini kabobs, Petit-fours, fruit assortment, and Valentine Tea.  We look forward to seeing all of our teatime ladies again!  Newsletter is now available.

Mark your calendar for October 10-  a “Mystery Tea”.

Ministry’s Vision:

To provide ladies in the church and community a tea time while incorporating the following aspects that are important to women; Fellowship, Encouragement, Emotional Support & Sponsorship, Prayer Time, Bible Study, Spiritual Development, Health & Well Being, Mentoring and Life Skills.

About the Ministry:

Ministry committee includes: Chairperson; Patty Gibson, Deb Ayers, Patty Dogan, Connie Pannell and Ruth Vernon.

The ministry began its planning in 2006 after being inspired when a group of friends enjoyed the afternoon visiting a local tea shop. It was such an encouraging time together that the now formed committee felt lead to begin this ministry and offer it to the ladies in the church as well as friends and community. Our Tea Times are quarterly and on Saturday afternoons from 2-3:30 pm. The program includes a spiritual speaker, tea trivia, fellowship, food, and music.

Past Teas : 2007-2014

Over the last several years, we’ve had theme teas such as: “Southern Belle“, “Harvest Pumpkin & Spice“,  “Love Thy Neighbor“,  “Enchanted Garden“,  “Grandma’s Heirloom”,  “Winter Wonderland“,  “Mother & Daughter Banquet“,  ”Hawaiian Luau”,  “Country Christmas”,  “Purses, Polka-Dots, Ribbons & Bows”,  “Breakfast at Tiffanys”,  “Celtic”,  “Books, Tea & Thee”, “Country Fair” ,  “Healthy Heart” , “Celebrating Life”, “Paris Tea”, “Lavender & Lace” & “Buttons, Baskets & Blessings”.  Each of these teas were unique as their names; encouraging devotions, special & professional speakers, delicious food and warm conversations.  Our desire is for every lady to leave feeling blessed by the message, encouraged and refreshed mentally and spiritually.

“Her children rise up and call her blessed;

her husband also, and he praises her.”

Proverbs 31:28
